Truck Shopping Assistant (TruckShopr)
version 1.01

TruckShopr is designed to be your note-taking secretary during your visit to the truck dealer.

Very similar to Car Shopping Assistant, this is for the person who doesn't want a car.

TruckShopr is designed to be your note-taking secretary during your visit to the truck dealer. There are pull-down fields for selection of Dealer, Model, Body, Stereo, Color, and Engine -- and these values can be input and edited by you. Sample values have been entered into the databases TruckShopperdef1-TruckShopperdef6. There are also a defined field for Price, and six note fields which you can use as you like. TruckShopper runs on PalmOS®-based PDA's.

TruckShopr will also display the vehicle list in a selectable table -- touch a vehicle record, and that record comes up in Input/Edit mode, for easy review and editing if necessary.

The Input/Edit form should be fairly self-explanatory. There are 6 pulldowns (as noted above), one field which is prefaced by a dollar sign, and 6 fields (1 full-width) for making notes of the options available on each vehicle. There is also a "Dup" button for easy duplication of records. This enables you to duplicate and edit similar vehicles, instead of entering them completely.

Just to the right of each of the pulldowns on the Input/Edit form is an "O" button. Selecting this button will jump you immediately to the edit form for the corresponding pulldown list. At this point, you can edit, add, duplicate and delete items on that pulldown list. Note that the sample pulldowns are abbreviated in order to display the most information possible in the list display, for example "afcdp" means AM/FM/CD-PremiumSoundSystem. This is fully editable by you, so you do not need to keep these sample values, nor abbreviate unless you want to do so.

Tip: You can enter the data on the pulldown menus before you go to the dealers. Many truck buyers guides will give you appropriate options to enter in the pulldowns. Alternatively, you can add these at the dealer with only a little more effort.

TruckShopr also has a similar, sister application called "CarShopper," which is designed for the auto buyer.

TruckShopr is not available any longer, in beta or finished versions.  I no longer use that development system.
